Overview of Electrical Conductors for Buildings

This course is designed to provide Florida contractors with an understanding of a basic wiring system and its components; it describes in detail the types of conductors used, their individual qualities, materials, uses and performance ratings. The course outlines installation guidelines for various methods and locations, and also presents pertinent formulas for determining amperage and voltage drop. Students are prompted to participate in a few simple calculation exercises to illustrate their common use. The National Electric Code is used as the source guide for all references.
