This course is designed to provide Profession Engineers with a thorough understanding of the different types of wood-based composite products and the materials and processes used to manufacture them, including additives, binders, and adhesives. It will provide information on how composite panels are used, such as in construction, and their different characteristics, advantages and disadvantages. The materials discussed in detail in Part 1 will include the following: plywood, oriented strand board (OSB), particle board, and fiber board. (Self Paced Class)
