This Self-Paced course is designed to provide Construction Professionals with a thorough understanding of the basic technology of parabolic-trough solar water heating and its energy saving benefits. This course describes the technology of parabolic-trough collectors, solar water heating systems, and absorption cooling. It points out the types of situations where parabolic-trough solar water heating is most likely to be cost effective and describes the ESPC process available to Federal facilities for parabolic-trough projects.
