OSHA Workplace Safety

This course is designed to provide licensed contractors with a general overview of the OSHA provisions for Workplace Safety in the areas of Personal Protective Equipment and Fall Protection as outlined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. It covers different hazards in the workplace and discusses how to protect workers against a variety of circumstances with appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) selection, such as eye, face, hand, foot and leg protection; details proper equipment maintenance; teaches how to properly conduct a Hazard Assessment of the workplace; and explains hazards that can cause bodily injury or require fall protection; discusses the proper OSHA procedures for implementing safety systems, including guardrails, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems and ladder safety to prevent as many accidents as possible.  The licensee will learn how to develop a safe and healthy jobsite by implementing training programs on construction sites and the importance of an emergency response plan.
