This course is designed to provide Professional Engineers with a review of the basic wiring system and its components; the various types of conductors used, as well as their individual qualities, materials, uses and performance ratings. The course outlines installation guidelines for various methods and locations, and also explains pertinent formulas for determining amperage and voltage drop. Licensees are prompted to participate in a few sample calculation exercises to illustrate their common use. The National Electric Code is used as the guiding source for all references.
