This course is designed to provide Professional Engineers with a thorough understanding of national and local Historic designation and the criteria they are based off of. This course looks at the history and the initial goal of historic preservation, as well as, what qualifies a structure as historic, focusing on the application process and attributes of historic preservation such as relocation, restoration, urban renewal, and downtown revitalization. The course also examines two case studies of previous historic structures that were designated. (Self Paced Class)
